eAchievement Award ™ presented to the Himalayan Stove Project and George “Chief Cook” Basch by eTown

Boulder Colorado based eTown Inc, a nonprofit, nationally syndicated radio broadcast, multimedia and events production company whose mission is to educate entertain and inspire a diverse audience through music and conversation in order to create a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable world, has awarded its prestigious eAchievement Award to the Himalayan Stove Project and its founder, George “Chief Cook” Basch.

Since its founding in 1991 eTown has given the eAchievement award to many notable people, including Dr. Jane Goodall, Vice President Al Gore, President Jimmy Carter, Bobby Kennedy Jr., Allan Ginsberg, Michael Moore, Pete Seeger, and blind climber, adventurer and author Erik Weihenmayer (who is a key member of the HSP’s Advisory Board.
