Sally L. Berg


Executive Director, The Pangaea Project, Portland, Oregon

Sally’s explored six continents climbing, trekking, guiding and volunteering. She has summited Carstensz Pyramid in West Papua (2005), Kilimanjaro with clients (nine times), led treks in Nepal, Tibet, and Mustang and volunteered in Ladakh at a children’s dental clinic. She is one of two female guides featured in the award-winning film Blindsight.

Sally was Executive Director for the Kilimanjaro Climb for the Cure in 2000 – where her team raised $125,000 for the Denver Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

In 2001, she opened her own international travel business arranging complex logistics to remote corners of the world, with an Himalayan emphasis, for an impressive clientele often doing extraordinary philanthropic work. Clients include National Geographic, the Himalayan Cataract Project, the DZI Foundation, Telluride Mountainfilm and Serac Adventure Films.

She is currently the Executive Director of The Pangaea Project, an internationally-focused youth development program based in Portland, Oregon.

Sally earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado, studied in the Technology Management graduate program at Denver University and has been a certified EMT and WEMT.
